‘The Grand Tour’ Season 2 Trailer is Here
The second season of The Grand Tour will return to Amazon Prime on December 8, 2017, according to a trailer that was just launched on TGT’s official YouTube channel.
It will see the return of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May, the former Top Gear hosts, whose new foray into a BBC-less world of automotive entertainment had been very well received by fans, though not without criticism.
As per usual, the trio traveled around the world while shooting for The Grand Tour. Even though the massive traveling tent itself is gone—which does raise questions about the significance of the show’s name—Amazon says that Dubai, Spain, Colorado, New York, Switzerland, Croatia, and Mozambique will all be represented in season two.
Some of the cars shown in the trailer are, unsurprisingly, even more exotic than the places they visit. Among the action and comedy shots—one of them featuring the trio driving down a ski slope in old cars and another featuring a firefighting tanker plane dropping water on James May—we also spotted the Bugatti Chiron and Rimac Concept One hypercars as well as the Acura NSX supercar and what looked like a Lamborghini Aventador S.
Some of the most criticized elements of the debut season were not featured in the trailer, including Mike “The American” Skinner and “Celebrity Brain Crash,” the would-be celebrity segment that always ended with the guests dying before they could even step inside the tent. We don’t know whether that means they’ve been scraped, but we can hope.
