The Lexus LM Minivan is Pretty Much a Personal Limousine
For the first time ever, Lexus has added a minivan to its lineup, dubbed the Lexus LM. It’s everything you’d expect a Lexus minivan to be — and so much more. Of course, it boasts a massive spindle grille, plenty of chrome accents, and a delightfully opulent interior. And while it may resemble a polished, rebadged Toyota Alphard, the LM is all about inner beauty — namely, its lounge-style cabin that boasts some limousine-like features.
Smart Shopping: What to know before buying a Lexus
Ride with style
For starters, the front and rear rows are separated by a wall — and a glass screen that can be raised and lowered. There’s also a 26-inch flat-screen display and a 14-liter refrigerated compartment — big enough to hold two bottles of champagne — incorporated into the divider. The display can connect to smartphones, tablets, and Bluetooth devices. If that wasn’t cool enough, consider the 19-speaker sound system and a touch screen TV remote located between the two seats.
Of course, those nifty features would be a waste without a nice place to sit. The rear executive seats feature heating, cooling, and massage functions. And since they’re crafted from low-density urethane foam, they’re as comfortable and supportive as a seat on your favorite couch. If you want to bring more of your entourage along for a high-class ride, opt for the seven-seat model.

Trim levels and powertrains
The Lexus LM will be available in two trim levels — LM 350 and LM 300h. Opt for the LM 350, and you’ll get a 3.5-liter naturally aspirated combustion engine, capable of putting out 300 horsepower. If you’re looking for something a little more eco-friendly, go for the LM 300h, with a hybrid drivetrain that produces 200 horsepower. Both come standard with front-wheel drive, with all-wheel drive as an option.
