This 1,000-Horsepower Hyundai SUV Is Easily the Coolest Thing You’ll See at SEMA
Face it–sport utility vehicles by-and-large have been neutered of their adventurous, “sporting” nature in favor of family-friendly accessibility and daily-driver fuel efficiency. It’s time somebody did something about that.
To show what its Santa Fe SUV is truly capable of, Hyundai joined with Bismoto Engineering to create a jaw-droppingly powerful, rear-wheel-drive custom version. That’s right–a rear-wheel drive Hyundai SUV that earns (no joke) over 1,000 horsepower.
Your dreams have indeed come true.
No longer being called the Santa Fe, this SUV exclusively customized by Bismoto for the 2016 SEMA Show is being dubbed the “Santa-Fast.” And it certainly deserves that name.
This stunning concept vehicle has been enhanced with a flex-fuel turbocharged, Hyundai-based 3.8-liter Lambda V6 with custom twin-turbo kit and intercooler. It gets a boost from 19-inch Tarmac R40 Wheels, Buddy Club 4-piston brakes with Bisimoto brackets, Genesis R-Spec gearbox, and custom Rothfab rear sub-frame conversion. Some of the other many, many (four-dozen, in fact) enhancements include:
- Infinity 708 ECU
- Boost-control solenoid
- Fuel pressure regulator and flex-fuel sender
- Arias 9.0:1 custom forged pistons, Bisimoto specification
- Bisimoto-Web level 2.4 camshafts
- Bisimoto custom exhaust system with dual-pulse chambers
- Five-O racing 2200cc Injectors
- Supertech valvetrain
- Twin Turbonetics TNX 30/56 Turbos
- Dual RG45 wastegates
- Godzilla blow-off valve
- Custom Rothfab rear sub-frame conversion
- Spec stage-5 clutch and aluminum flywheel
- KW coil-over suspension
- Gatorwraps auto wrap
- Custom modified grill
- Momo Daytona EVO seats
- 4-point chromo roll cage
“Bisimoto takes pleasure in making any vehicle fun to drive, even a larger SUV,” stated ‘Bisi Ezerioha, owner of Bisimoto. “Our Santa-Fast SUV is a proof-of-concept vehicle with driving capabilities that our customers can count on every day they turn the key.”
Hyundai worked with Bismoto last year when they jointly released a 700-horsepower Tucson SUV for the 2015 SEMA Show. Suffice it today, Bismoto really stepped up its game this time; the 1,000-horsepower Santa Fe will be on display at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas on November 1st-4th.
