Toyota Jan Shares the Funny Side of Parenthood

Toyota Jan and her cohorts discuss children’s books

Being a new parent can be overwhelming, whether you’re a first-timer or an old pro. Babies demand constant attention, and often leave you feeling sleep-deprived, inadequate, or at the end of your rope. But rather than mope about the downside of being a new parent, three moms recently launched a new YouTube channel—The BreakWomb—which puts out a video each week discussing one of many issues new parents face. [ Watch “Kids Books Swap” below ]

The channel is the brainchild of Laurel Coppock (a.k.a. Toyota Jan), Molly Erdman, and Megan Grano. The three release a new video every Wednesday, and each one is dedicated to a topic that parents are sure to relate to. In “Kids Books Swap,” the three mothers talk about their favorite children’s book, including “Go the F**k to Sleep” and others with a variety of expletives in the names. As of publication, the trio has covered five topics, including mom brain, baby monitor addiction, sleeping through the night, mom shaming, and mom swimsuits.

Coppock doesn’t give much information on her own child, but we did deduce that her baby is a boy. So for anyone wondering the gender of Toyota Jan’s baby, there you have it. (And, given his gender, we think it’s unlikely Jan named her baby Sienna… but now we’re wondering about Sequoia or Tacoma.)

The series is hilarious and a light-hearted must-watch for any parent who needs a little comic relief.
