Updates for the 2015 Chevy Spark, Spark EV Discussed
The new Chevy Spark and (even newer) Chevy Spark EV have accomplished quite a lot since they hit the market, so it’s easy to wonder what’s next for the subcompact cars. The updates for the 2015 Chevy Spark and Spark EV are minor but are still important for the future of these little engines that could (and do).
Updates for the 2015 Chevy Spark
The 2015 Chevy Spark will get two new exteriors color, although they’re marked as late availability. The two new colors, available for the 2LT only, are Salsa and Lime (which really makes all of us hungry for “hint of lime” tortilla chips and salsa). The new Spark will also get OnStar 4G LTE with Wi-Fi Hotspot capability, and sooner than the EV model.
Updates for the 2015 Chevy Spark EV
Most of the updates for the 2015 models are actually meant for the EV only. Like the Spark, the Spark EV will get OnStar 4G LTE, just at a later date. It will also swap out its 3.17 final drive ratio axle for a 3.87. Drivers will be saying goodbye to the Titanium exterior color, however, with no new colors being offered. The 2015 Spark EV will also don a larger EV Eco badge.
The Spark EV will also have a few late introduction changes. For instance, the 2LT interior Electric Blue trim and accents will be nixed to make room for Silver ones. In addition, the 1LT and 2LT will get a Piano Black instrument panel cluster surround, instead of the Electric Blue. And, because Electric Blue is apparently no longer in, the stitching on the shift boot cover and leather-wrapped steering wheel will go to Black instead. Keep checking in for more updates on the all-new Spark and Spark EV.
