Daniel Tosh Subaru Surfing Commercial

The Tosh.0 host held an interesting contest in 2014 regarding his own Subaru Outback

It should be no surprise to fans of Daniel Tosh that the comedian is a big Subaru enthusiast. He’s been stating this fact for years, even dating back to 2012 when he slyly plugged the Subaru Outback (with all-wheel drive) while completing a web redemption interview with a skater that was hit by a truck.

Then, in 2014, the Tosh.0 host held a contest for his loyal viewers, where one lucky fan would win his 2011 Subaru Outback, by simply showing that they are better than him in some way via video submissions. In the promo for the giveaway, Daniel promoted many of the Outback’s wonderful features, including the “fake manual mode that you only use once” and windows that may be a little too dark for legal standards.

This wasn’t just a stunt for the show either. The funny man followed through with his promise and ended up giving the used Outback to a man named Jason, who decided to put his head in a pile of steaming hot dog poop, following Tosh’s constant use of the phrase, “Nana nana boo boo, stick your head in doo doo.”

As a native Florida man, Tosh frequently enjoys the surf of southern California

Just recently, Tosh uploaded a video on his Twitter account, thanking Subaru for allowing people to get to know him a little better. In the video, Daniel is seen walking across a beach that he claims he doesn’t actually use for surfing, although he does really surf. He then goes on to explain why he loves Subarus while packing up his surf equipment. There’s a funny twist at the end of the #MeetAnOwner ad, but I’ll let you watch that for yourself in the video below.
