2019 Nissan AltimaThe 2019 Nissan Altima made a splash when it debuted at the 2018 New York International Auto Show as the start of an all-new generation. It takes Nissan’s much-loved car and gives it several much-needed upgrades, such as two new engines and Intelligent All-Wheel Drive, a first for Nissan sedans in America. If you’ve been waiting to place an order for this new vehicle and upgrade your current ride, the good news is that you can do it right now.

More Details: Check out the full list of upgrades for the 2019 Nissan Altima

On Oct. 3, the 2019 Nissan Altima went on sale at dealerships nationwide with five trim levels: S, SR, SV, SL, and Platinum. All of them come standard with a 2.5-liter engine and front-wheel drive, but drivers who choose the SR or Platinum levels can upgrade to an advanced 2.0-liter VC-Turbo engine. All trim levels can trade in front-wheel drive for the more-capable Intelligent All-Wheel Drive for increased handling in difficult situations.

The Altima also looks to distance itself from the competition by offering several advanced safety features standard, like Automatic Emergency Braking, Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, and Rear Door Alert, one of the company’s latest features aimed at preventing the deaths of children and pets left in hot cars. Other standard technologies include an 8.0-inch color display with multi-touch control and Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, usually reserved for higher trims in competing sedans.

A new model year also means an updated price tag. The starting MSRP of the 2019 Altima S with the 2.5-liter engine and FWD is $23,750. That’s pretty reasonable considering all of the options that already come standard. The top of the standard line, the Altima Platinum with the 2.0-liter VC-Turbo engine and FWD, starts at $34,780. A special edition, the Altima Edition ONE, has a few extra features to commemorate the new design and it starts at $35,750.
