2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Night Debuts at LA Auto Show
The LA Auto Show is home to a lot of debuts in the automotive industry. Not one to be left out, Jeep is unveiling two new special-edition models that take its ruggedly handsome styling to the next level: the 2016 Jeep Wrangler Backcountry and the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Night.
Since I’ve already talked about the totally tubular, 90s-throwback 2016 Jeep Wrangler Backcountry, it’s time to turn your heads to the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Night—the badass to the Backcountry’s purple cheeriness. This special edition Grand Cherokee combines the aggressive styling of Jeep’s beloved SUV with a powerful, yet fuel-efficient engine.

The Grand Cherokee SRT Night is equipped with a sleek roof design, the addition of a rear spoiler and front grille bezels, and Gloss Black B and C pillars and side window surrounds. Its appearance is so stealth-like that it’s possible you’ll become a secret agent/spy/ninja/dragon lord just looking at it.
Jeep continues the dark-color scheme, incorporating Satin Black into the front appliqué and badging, along with the SRT Night’s split five-spoke “5Ten” 20-inch wheels. These—dare I say it?—sexy wheels highlight the special edition model’s standard red Brembo brakes. Each of the available colors for the SRT Night, which include Velvet Red, Billet Silver, and Granite Crystal, all contrast perfectly with the Jeep’s aggressively dark, good looks.

Inside this Grand Cherokee, the dark theme continues with Black Laguna leather with Silver accent stitching and Light Black Chrome bezels. Under the hood, Jeep has outfitted the SRT Night with a standard 6.4-liter V8 engine with Fuel Saver Technology. This powerful engine churns out a healthy 475 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, giving it a quick 0-to-60 time of 4.8 seconds.
Speed, devastatingly good looks, and Jeep’s legendary capabilities? The Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Night just might capture the hearts of Jeep lovers everywhere. Check out more photos of this SUV below.
