2016 Subaru Crosstrek “Pure Red” Special Edition Priced at $25,595
A couple months back, I previewed the new special edition Subaru Crosstrek model in “Pure Red” that made its debut at the 2016 Chicago Auto Show. Subaru has now released pricing for the 2016 Subaru Crosstrek “Pure Red” Special Edition, which will be sold in limited quantities—just 1,500 units in total.
The special edition “Pure Red” Crosstrek will start at $25,595, which doesn’t include things like taxes, dealer fees, or destination and delivery. D&D, which is $850, bumps the price to $26,445. The special edition Crosstrek is based on the 2.0i Premium model, which retails for $22,395, sans D&D.
In addition to the “Pure Red” exterior paintjob, the 2016 Subaru Crosstrek Special Edition adds matching (Pure Red) foldable mirrors with integrated turn signals. That bold red color continues to the inside with red stitch accents for the door panels, steering wheel, and leather-wrapped shift lever handle. The red also continues to the interior dash trim with a black inlay; red is even included in the ambient lighting settings, to “cast a soft red glow on the front floor area and storage space below the climate control.”
But you won’t just be seeing red with the “Pure Red” Special Edition Crosstrek. This special model also adds the All-Weather Package, to include heated front seats, heated exterior mirrors, and windshield wiper de-icer. Drivers will also enjoy Keyless Access with Push-Button Start, a Power Moon Roof, Blind Spot Detection and Rear Cross Traffic Alert with Lane Change Assist, and an Instrument Panel with color LCD. All Subaru models are now equipped with a STARLINK system; this particular model gets a 6.2-inch system.
Lucky drivers who get their hands on the 2016 Subaru Crosstrek “Pure Red” Special Edition can take delivery of their vehicles at dealerships starting in June of this year.
