2016 Volvo V60 Overview
The 2016 Volvo V60 is a luxury sportswagon featuring a starting MSRP of $35,950. The 2016 Volvo V60 comes standard with Volvo’s Sensus Connect infotainment system, an eight-speaker audio system, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The 2016 V60 also comes available with the Sensus Navigation system and adaptive auto-dimming xenon headlights with washers, as well as offering two powerful and efficient engine options.
The 2016 Volvo V60 is offered with T5 and T6 powertrains in two trim levels: V60 and R-Design. Models also come with Premier and Platinum option packages as well.

What’s New for the 2016 Volvo V60?
The 2016 Volvo V60 is mostly a carryover from the previous model year, but the base AWD trim offered for the 2015 version is no longer available. Additionally, new 17-inch “Pallene” alloy wheels now come standard with the T5 powertrain and 18-inch “Skadia” alloy wheels are available as a stand-alone option.

The design of the V60 is based on the S60’s sporty look and provides a stylish silhouette while still featuring respectable cargo capacity. The 2016 V60 also comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels and LED running lights. Exterior color options include Flamenco Red Metallic, Black Stone, Magic Blue Metallic, Seashell Metallic, Osmium Grey Metallic, Bright Silver Metallic, Ice White, Crystal White Pearl Metallic, Savile Grey Metallic, and Onyx Black Metallic.

2016 Volvo V60 Performance
The 2016 Volvo V60 comes standard with a 2.0-liter turbocharged direct-injection four-cylinder engine and eight-speed Geartronic automatic transmission that collaborate to create 240 horsepower and 258 lb-ft or torque. The 2016 Volvo T6 AWD R-Design features a more powerful 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine that combines with a six-speed Geartronic automatic transmission to generate 325 horsepower and 354 lb-ft or torque. Volvo has estimated that the T6 AWD R-Design can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.5 seconds.
2016 Volvo V60 Efficiency
The base model 2016 Volvo V60 with the 2.0-liter turbocharged direct-injection four-cylinder engine and eight-speed Geartronic automatic transmission is good for an EPA-estimated 25 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. When equipped with the 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine and six-speed Geartronic automatic transmission with AWD, the 2016 Volvo V60 receives an EPA-estimated 18 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. This sportswagon comes standard with a fuel tank capacity of 17.8 gallons.

The 2016 Volvo V60 sports one of the most relaxed and tech-savvy cabins available on the market. The interior of the 2016 Volvo V60 comes available with a 12-speaker Harman Kardon surround-sound audio system and a rearview camera. Standard features for the 2016 Volvo V60 consist of a 40/20/40-split rear seat, dual-zone climate control, and more than 20 cubic feet of cargo capacity.

2016 Volvo V60 Safety
The 2016 Volvo V60 has yet to be tested by either the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, as of October 13, 2015. The 2016 V60 comes standard with Volvo’s City Safety technology that can automatically apply the brakes at speeds of less than 31 mph in order to avoid frontal collisions. Volvo’s mission is for “no one be seriously injured or killed in a new Volvo by 2020.”
