2018 Chrysler Pacifica Earns Two Awards for Family-Friendly Features
If you’re in the market for a family-friendly car, the Greater Atlanta Automotive Media Association thinks you should choose the 2018 Chrysler Pacifica. GAAMA has singled out the Pacifica by giving it two awards — Best Three-Row Family Car (second year in a row) and Best Green Family Car — for its ability to make the lives of busy families a bit less stressful.
“The repeat wins for the Chrysler Pacifica are also impressive. Today’s busy families need a vehicle that can help make their lives easier, and the Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid exceed that promise,” said Daryl Killian, GAAMA president and host of The AutoNsider on News & Talk 1380 WAOK, an Entercom Radio Station based in Atlanta.
The GAAMA Family Car Challenge tasked members to review the family-friendly features of a variety of vehicles after they traveled “suburban routes around The Hotel at Avalon in Alpharetta, Georgia.”
The Chrysler Pacifica, which retains the most awards in the minivan segment in 2016 and 2017, is available at six trim levels — L, LX, Touring Plus, Touring L, Touring L Plus, and Limited. Each is equipped with a 3.6-liter V6 engine paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission to create a powertrain able to generate 287 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque.
It’s easy to stay connected and entertained on the road with the Pacifica’s standard integrated voice command with Bluetooth wireless technology, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and Uconnect 4 infotainment system with 7-inch touchscreen display.
The 2018 Chrysler Pacifica is available at three trim levels — Hybrid Touring Plus, Hybrid Touring L, and Hybrid Limited. Each trim is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 hybrid system paired to an eFlite Si-EVT.
“It’s the first electrified vehicle in the minivan segment and achieves 84 miles per gallon equivalent (MPGe) in electric-only mode and 33 miles of all-electric range,” reports FCA.
