The heat death of summer and slow ascendance of autumn means many things. Most importantly, it means it’s time for those few straggling vehicles that don’t yet offer configurators to start getting to the business of configurating. Like the new 2018 Ford Mustang, which can now be built to your liking at long last.

The price for a 2018 Mustang GT spec’ed for a 0-60 sprint under four seconds? $41,585 including $900 destination fee. The base 2018 Mustang GT Fastback starts at $35,095 MSRP, the available 10-speed SelectShift automatic adds $1,595, and the GT Performance Package—most prominently including 255/40R19 (front) 275/40R19 (rear) Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires, 19-inch Ebony Black-painted aluminum wheels, Performance Rear Wing, Brembo six-piston front brake calipers with bigger rotors, and TORSEN differential—adds $3,995.

The 2018 Ford Mustang GT will only be offered in the convertible body style as a GT Premium Convertible, which includes climate-controlled front seats and nine-speaker audio system, among other aspects. The Mustang GT Premium Convertible starts at $44,595, and the Fastback equivalent starts at $39,095.

With the end of the V6 Mustang, the EcoBoost takes the mantle as the base model. At base, the 2018 Mustang EcoBoost Fastback starts at $25,585 while the convertible starts at $31,085. Adding SYNC3, Pony Projection Lights, and LED fog lamps as well as other features, the Mustang EcoBoost Premium Fastback starts at $30,600. For the Mustang EcoBoost Premium Convertible, prices start at $36,100.
