Thanks to its easy-to-use infotainment system and helpful driver-assist features, the new 2019 Chevrolet Blazer recently won a place on the 2019 Wards Best UX list.

For this list, WardsAuto editors judged 23 vehicles and chose the 10 that offered the user-friendliest new or redesigned tech features, including voice control, display screens, smartphone integration, navigation, and active-safety equipment.

As part of their judging process, the editors drove the participating vehicles on their everyday commutes to get a sense of how their features operate in real-world situations. They tested buttons and switches, looked for useful features like charging ports and wireless smartphone pairing, noted whether features were easy or difficult to access, and assessed whether vehicles offered points of surprise or connection for drivers.

When testing the 2019 Blazer, editors found the infotainment system especially impressive, noting the large icons and easy-to-see high positioning of its 8-inch high-definition touch screen, its powerful natural language recognition abilities, its built-in online shopping app, and its trustworthy OnStar Wi-Fi.

The editors also appreciated the Blazer’s stop-and-go adaptive cruise control and other safety features like forward collision alert, forward automatic braking, and lane keeping assist.

Another unique feature praised by editors was the Blazer’s large HVAC vents, which can be adjusted to easily change the fan speed and temperature.

The Blazer has some seriously elevated company on this year’s Wards 10 Best UX list. Along with competitors like Ford, Subaru, and Hyundai, the list includes numerous luxury brands, including Audi, BMW, Lexus and Mercedes.
