Two Chevy vehicles snagged a spot on U.S. News & World Report’s list of the Best V8 SUVs on the Market, the 2019 Chevy Suburban and 2019 Chevy Tahoe. Both are formidable vehicles that offer impressive V8 power, spacious cabins, strong performance, and outstanding capability.

The 2019 Chevy Suburban delivers two V8 options: a 5.3-liter V8 that churns out 355 horsepower and a 6.2-liter that generates 420 horsepower.
“As American as apple pie or super-size fries, the Chevrolet Suburban is one of the longest-serving members of the SUV landscape,” writes U.S. News & World Report writer Nick Kurczewski. “Maximum towing capacity, when properly equipped, rings in 8,300 pounds. With seating for up to eight adults and 39.3 cubic feet of cargo room behind the rear seats, the Suburban remains an ultimate mile muncher for long distance drives.”
The 2019 Chevy Tahoe earned its spot for its enviable two V8 options as well, a 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 paired to a six-speed automatic transmission that puts out 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque and a 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V8, which shakes the road with 420 horsepower.
“The Chevy Tahoe hits a sweet spot for shoppers who need more space, power, and capability than what’s offered in smaller car-based SUV,” says Kurczewski.

Towing capacity jumps to 8,600 with the Tahoe, and despite the power and towing capability, fuel economy is an impressive 14 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway with the 6.2-liter V8 and AWD.
