Just because you have kids, doesn’t mean your vehicle has to be boring or deliver lackluster power. The 2019 Dodge Charger and 2019 Dodge Durango have the space you need to accommodate three car seats in one row. Named to U.S. News & World Report’s “21 Great Vehicles That Fit 3 Car Seats Across,” the Dodge models are powerful, spacious, and offer advanced technologies, and family-friendly features.

Family-friendly may not be the first words that come to mind when describing the 2019 Dodge Charger, but the powerful model offers a spacious interior, connectivity features, and high safety scores, note U.S. News & World Report writers Eileen Falkenberg-Hull and Liana Madrid.

“The Charger fits three car seats across its back seat. It comes with three full sets of LATCH connectors. It has 57.9 inches of second-row shoulder room,” they add.

The 2019 Dodge Charger is available at five trim levels — SXT, GT, R/T, SCAT Pack, and SRT Hellcat. The top trim, the SRT Hellcat is equipped with a 6.2-liter HEMI SRT Hellcat V8 paired to a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission that generates 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. The standard 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 still makes driving a thrill with its 292 horsepower rating and 260 lb-ft of torque.

“The Dodge Durango offers a powerful engine lineup, and when properly equipped, it delivers class-leading towing capacity,” reports Falkenberg-Hull and Madrid. “Each of the outboard second-row seats in the Durango features a full set of LATCH connectors. In the second and third rows, the middle seats have upper tethers.”
