Interior
Despite its rugged exterior, the Terrain is loaded with standard and available luxuries. With room for five people and 29.6 cubic feet of cargo room behind the second row, the Terrain offers an impressive amount of space for a compact SUV. You can also fold down the back row to access for 63.3 cubic feet of space, and fold down the front passenger seat to get enough clearance for items up to eight feet long. In addition to its standard leather-wrapped steering wheel and real aluminum trim, the Terrain offers an available Wi-Fi hotspot to keep you connected on the go.

Performance and efficiency
The 2020 Terrain offers two turbocharged engines. The 1.5-liter powerplant puts out 170 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque — all while earning an EPA-estimated 30 mpg highway. Give the Terrain a little more muscle with the 2.0-liter engine, which puts out 252 horsepower along with 260 lb-ft of torque, and can tow up to 3,500 pounds. Both engines come with a nine-speed automatic transmission and offer all-wheel drive capabilities.

Safety
Drive confidently with the Terrain’s new-and-improved safety technology. Keep your journey on track with Lane Keep Assist, which applies gentle steering to keep the Terrain from unintentionally drifting out of its lane. The Following Distance Indicator and Intellibeam headlamps help you drive safely, while Front Pedestrian Braking and Automatic Emergency Braking work to prevent or mitigate accidents. Best of all, these high-tech features all come standard on the 2020 Terrain.
