Arriving soon at U.S. dealerships, the 2020 Hyundai Palisade prioritizes roomy comfort, along with family-friendly infotainment features and safety tech.
“This new Hyundai SUV is the ultimate family vehicle for practical, comfortable daily use and memory-making road trips whenever the appeal of the open road should beckon,” said Mike O’Brien, Hyundai Motor America’s vice president of product, corporate, and digital planning.
Hyundai’s new flagship SUV is the automaker’s largest ever. It makes the most of that size with three roomy rows that offer flexible reconfiguration options and standard seating for eight passengers. A One-Touch second-row seat makes it easy to access the third row. The third row offers plenty of flexibility, too, with available power-folding and reclining functionality. Behind the third row, there’s 18 cubic feet of cargo space. When that row is folded down, cargo space expands to 45.8 cubic feet. A power liftgate is available for easier access to the cargo area.
Cutting-Edge Tech: Learn about Hyundai’s latest innovations
The Palisade comes standard with a wide range of safety technologies. Forward Collision-Avoidance Asist, Lane Keeping Assist, High Beam Assist, and Driver Attention Warning keep the Palisade protected on the go. Smart Cruise Control and Lane Following Assist make driving more convenient. Standard Rear Occupant Alert and available Safe Exit Assist are especially handy for families with young kids.
For infotainment, the Palisade offers a 10.25-inch touch screen, the ability to connect two Bluetooth devices at once, standard smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and up to seven USB outlets throughout the cabin. Tech options for the Palisade include a head-up display, a Driver Talk intercom system for communicating with the rear rows, and a Rear Seat Quiet Mode so the driver can play audio without waking sleeping passengers.
On the exterior, the Palisade is characterized by a large cascading grille, a vertical lighting signature, and a stance that communicates power while remaining aerodynamic.
The Palisade is powered by a 3.8-liter direct-injected V6 engine that puts out 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. This engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Palisade also offers available HTRAC all-wheel drive with Snow Mode and a widened suspension for improved stability.
The 2020 Hyundai Palisade is expected to roll into dealerships around the country starting at the end of this month. Pricing will start at $31,550 for the base SE trim and rise to $46,400 for the top-of-the-line Limited.
