What’s new on the 2020 Kia Telluride?
Everything! The 2020 Kia Telluride is an all-new vehicle from the Korean automaker and it’s being built in the Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia plant in West Point. The eight-passenger SUV (the largest vehicle ever made by Kia) is slated to be a direct competitor of the all-new Hyundai Palisade. Originally debuting as a concept in 2016 at the Detroit Auto Show, it wasn’t until September of 2018 that the Telluride was officially revealed during New York Fashion Week.
Exterior
As Kia’s largest vehicle ever built, the Telluride features a bold exterior with strong, athletic lines. This SUV was built for adventure and boasts a collection of helpful and convenient features. Standard heated exterior mirrors make those chilly mornings a bit easier while projector beam headlights illuminate the path ahead. Nature lovers will want to opt for the top SX trim, which features dual sunroofs that provide exquisite views above.

Interior
The spacious interior of the 2020 Kia Telluride is packed with a bevy of premium amenities. From standard mood lighting to the lush SOFINO leatherette seat trim, you won’t want to leave this luxurious cabin. Only the most modern technologies are in the new Telluride, including Kia’s UVO eServices with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility as well as a harman kardon® premium audio system on the SX trim.

Performance and efficiency
Across all four trims, the 2020 Telluride is equipped with a standard 3.8-liter V6 engine paired with an electronically controlled eight-speed automatic transmission with a Sportmatic™ Sports Shifter. Together, this powertrain can generate up to 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. With available all-wheel drive and a towing capacity of 5,000 pounds, this rugged SUV is perfect for off-roading or camping (or both!).
Because all trims are equipped with the same engine and transmission, there’s not much variance when it comes to fuel economy. The only factor that changes the Telluride’s EPA ratings is whether or not you choose to equip it with all-wheel drive.
