LEGOLAND Kids’ New Year’s Eve Party

Head to LEGOLAND in Winterhaven for a kid-friendly holiday celebration from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Young ones will enjoy building activities, dance parties, a fireworks show and a LEGO brick drop early enough in the day so that you and your spouse can spend the last few hours of 2019 relaxing while the kids are in bed.

New Year’s Eve Beach Ball Drop

Party Panama City-style when you hit up the New Year’s Eve Beach Ball Drop. Two ball drop times, 8 p.m. and midnight, will accommodate attendees of all ages. Live music will provide a festive backdrop as you play games, enjoy some shopping, and snack on fare from vendors. This event also boasts two separate fireworks displays which coincide with the two ball drop times mentioned above.

Sarasota Pineapple Drop

Downtown Sarasota throws a hearty hoopla on New Year’s Eve that kicks off at 1 p.m. on Dec. 31 and continues through midnight. Games and amusement rides will help young ones stay engaged. Live music pairs with onsite food and drink as you ride out the final moments of 2019 with your loved ones. As amazing as the fireworks display is, the main draw of the night is the Pineapple Drop, where an illuminated pineapple gets lowered down to the ground.

Amelia Island Shrimp Drop

Maybe LEGO bricks, beach balls, and pineapples aren’t your thing — but Amelia Island’s Shrimp Drop might do the trick. Now in its fifth consecutive year, this extravaganza provides fun for the whole family, from laser shows and bounce houses to live music and yummy food from vendors. The shrimp drop will occur at 7 p.m. sharp, cueing the fireworks display to begin.
