8 New Chevys Destined for South America This Year

Chevy is predicted to introduce seven models in South America this year, as well as a Midnight Edition for the Tracker and Equinox. GM has confirmed two of the offerings (the refreshed 2019 Cruze and the Tracker Midnight Edition). GM Authority has predicted other products in the lineup based on rumors as well as statements from the automaker.

So, without further ado, here are the eight products destined for the South American market for 2019.

8. Midnight Edition

GM has confirmed blacked-out appearance packages for both the Tracker and the Equinox models. Brazil recently received the Tracker Midnight Edition and the model will soon release in Argentina.


7. Cruze

The Cruze might be living out its last days in the U.S.; however, it will get a second life in South America. A refreshed 2019 Cruze model will hit this market sometime during the first quarter of 2019.


6. Camaro

Refreshed Camaro

Last fall, this refreshed Camaro made an appearance at 2018 SEMA. A refreshed version of the Camaro SS is set for the South American market early this year.


5. Bolt EV

The Bolt EV is yet another Chevy product that will release in South America this year. It’s the company’s latest effort to expand its “zero crashes, zero emissions, and zero congestion” vision into a new region.


4. Blazer

2019 Chevrolet BlazerGM fans in the U.S. have been anticipating the rebooted Chevy Blazer for a while. This model is also headed for South America for a broader fan base to enjoy.


3. Tracker

The new 2019 Tracker is set to debut in China this March. Per GM Authority, it will also release in Brazil and other South American countries later this year.


2. Onix

Due to the popularity of the Onix model in South America, GM is introducing a completely redesigned version of the Onix. Consumers can expect the model to arrive in the third quarter of 2019.


1. Prisma

The 2019 Prisma will follow in the wake of the Onix, incarnating a sedan version that should please Onix fans. GM also intends to sell the new Prisma under the Onix Sedan moniker in China.
