Givin’ You a Nightfall: GMC Unveils 2017 Terrain Nightfall Edition Before NYIAS
The GMC Terrain set a full-year sales record in 2015, moving 112,030 units in the United States over the course of 12 months. That success can be attributed to both the 2015 and 2016 Terrain, with the former being the first vehicle in GMC’s lineup to receive OnStar 4G LTE with built-in Wi-Fi and the latter getting a refreshed face and various other upgrades. Now, for the 2017 model-year, GMC will add a new Terrain Nightfall Edition, which will make its debut in earnest at the upcoming New York International Auto Show.
The 2017 GMC Terrain Nightfall Edition will be the second vehicle in the brand’s lineup to receive the blacked-out appearance package, joining the Canyon Nightfall Edition. GMC also recently revealed an All Terrain X edition for its best-selling Sierra pickup truck.
The 2017 Terrain Nightfall Edition will feature 18-inch machine-faced aluminum wheels with gloss black spokes, a charcoal grille with gloss black surround and accents, gloss black front and rear fascia accents, gloss black rear license plate surround trim, gloss black outside mirrors, and black luggage rails. Maybe it’ll also have some lighter features, you know?
The Terrain Nightfall Edition will be offered as an optional package for SLE-2 and SLT models. Inexplicably, it will be offered in three optional exterior colors other than Onyx Black, those being Summit White, Graphite Gray Metallic, and Crimson Red Metallic.
“Building on its best year ever, Terrain continues to attract new and style-conscious customers to GMC,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of GMC Sales and Marketing. “The new Terrain Nightfall Edition adds another great-looking and well-equipped choice for this popular SUV—one that will stand out in a crowd.”
The 2017 GMC Terrain Nightfall will be on sale in the fall.
