2017 Fiat 124 Spider Convertible Starting at $25,990
The 2017 Fiat 124 Spider will be the most affordable turbocharged convertible available in the United States
Fiat has released pricing information for the 124 Spider and its new convertible will carry a starting MSRP of $24,995.
That figure does not include the mandatory destination fee of $995, which brings the total up to $25,990 for the entry-level Classica model. In contrast, the similarly styled Mazda MX-5 Miata boasts a starting MSRP of $25,735.
The 124 Spider receives its motivation from a 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder motor that’s rated at 160 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. The new 124 Spider comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission, but it’s also available with a six-speed automatic, which costs an additional $1,300.
For those consumers with deeper pockets, the 124 Spider Lusso has been priced at $28,480. Moving up to this model will provide heated leather seats, 17-inch alloy wheels, a dual-tip chrome exhaust, and leather-wrapped gauge cluster.
The most powerful version of the 2017 124 Spider will be the Arbarth model. This variant of the 124 Spider makes uses of the same turbo engine found in the other trims, but provides an additional 5 horsepower. The 124 Spider Abarth starts at $29,190 and comes with a Bilstein sport suspension, Recaro seats, Sport Mode switch, Brembo brakes, and an Abarth-tuned exhaust system.
Coming in at $35,995 will be the Fiat 124 Spider Prima Edizone Lusso, making it the most expensive version of Fiat’s new convertible. Only 124 examples of the Prima Edizone Lusso will be built and each will feature the exclusive Azzurro Italia exterior paint scheme, a commemorative badge, and premium Saddle leather seats.
The 2017 Fiat 124 Spider is scheduled to reach US dealerships this summer.
