Cadillac ATS Luxury Sport Edition Will Only Be Offered in Japan
Earlier in 2016, BMW gave Japan its very own exclusive 4 Series, so in response, Cadillac has provided the Land of the Rising Sun with a limited-edition ATS sedan that will only be sold in the East Asian island country.
Officially dubbed the Cadillac ATS Luxury Sport Edition, this special-edition Cadillac will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine good for 272 horsepower and 295-lb-ft of torque. A specialized sports suspension has also been added to the sedan in order to compliment its peppy engine. Power will be sent to the rear wheels and the standard transmission is an eight –speed automatic.

Besides offering a firmer suspension, this special version of the ATS will feature 19-inch, V-spoke aluminum wheels. Those large wheels will be wrapped in run-flat Pirelli P Zero tires. In addition, high-performance Brembo brakes have also been added to the vehicle.
Unfortunately, customers in Japan will only get to choose from either the Crystal White or Sable Black exterior color options.
For additional style and attitude, the interior cabin will come with cashmere accents to offer a more elegant feel.
Cadillac Japan said the Cadillac ATS Luxury Sport Edition will be priced at ¥5,290,000, which comes out to approximately $49,800 at current exchange rates.
In contrast, the 2016 Cadillac ATS sedan with RWD and the same 272-horsepower turbo engine sells for around $36,000 here in the United States.
However, Cadillac’s asking price of $49,800 for the limited-edition ATS is still less than the $53,000 that BMW wants for its Japan-only 4 Series.
