FCA has been doing its part to support the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. At FCA plants located around the world, the company managed to decrease its environmental footprint on a per-vehicle-produced basis in 2019. From 2010 to 2019, the company made great strides, reducing its carbon footprint by 27 percent, its water use by 40 percent, and its generated waste by an impressive 64 percent.

To lay the foundation for future growth in the United States, FCA invested $4.5 billion to develop a new plant in Detroit, Michigan, and increase the capacity of other facilities in Michigan. Overall, the investment will lead to 6,500 new jobs.

During 2019, FCA committed to important projects within other countries as well. FCA began a new investment cycle in Brazil, with plans to renew its Jeep and Fiat lineup moving forward. The automaker launched the first-ever electric Jeep Commander PHEV in China, and it has been working on bringing electric models to both the United States and Italy.

FCA also gave back to the communities in which its employees work and live by providing volunteer opportunities for its employees. In addition, the automaker provided the communities with financial support through different charitable initiatives.
