GMC sales totaled 46,277 vehicles in November, down 5.8% year-over-year. Retail sales totaled 40,417 vehicles, down 1.9%. November marked another record month for Denali penetration, helping drive strong ATPs both for the brand and for General Motors overall.

GMC’s decline in sales volume was not for lack of effort from the Terrain, which saw its sales rise 22.3% year-over-year to 7,598 SUVs delivered. Sales of the GMC Terrain have been trending toward the positive since the launch of the 2018 model earlier this fall.

The Savana, which has seen its sales up for much of the year, delivered yet another month of momentum with 4.7% growth. At retail, GMC’s crossovers were up 11% thanks to 20% growth from Terrain and 4% growth from Acadia.

Sierra led GMC’s overall sales in terms of volume, with 18,136 vehicles delivered, down 4% year-over-year. Acadia was down 5.7% at 8,649 vehicles delivered; Canyon was down 26.4% at 2,510 vehicles, Yukon was down 26% at 4,567 vehicles; and Yukon XL was down 14.1% at 3,105 vehicles.

Through 11 months, GMC’s total sales remain positive, up 2.8% from its pace in 2016 and poised to close out the year with volume growth at 496,541 vehicles delivered. Acadia sales have surpassed six figures, totaling 100,439 vehicles and up 31.7% year-over-year; Savana sales are up 70.2% at 27,725 vans delivered; and Sierra, despite being down 3.5% from 2016, has seen deliveries totaling 191,507 trucks.

GMC’s retail sales are down 0.8% through November at 420,393 vehicles.
