The Nissan TITAN XD Gets A Beach Makeover
Summer is here, and while it brings heat waves and humidity it also has prime weather for lounging by the water. If you love the feel of sand between your toes and wish you could spend more time on the water without plunking down cash on a vacation home, Nissan has the concept truck for you. Called the Nissan TITAN Surfcamp, it has everything you need for a weekend out on the beach.
The truck is fitted with accessories and upgrades that makes it perfect for driving on the beach and setting up camp. A Freespirit Recreation Elite Series automatic tent sits on the roof rack as a base of operations and a Rino Rack awning provides shelter on the sand when you need a break from the sun. The truck has a DragonFly paddle board for heading out on the water and custom mounts to help bring it along when you move campsites. After time in the ocean, the Nissan TITAN XD Surfcamp’s solar shower helps clean off the salt water, and the interior is properly covered with seat protection and all-weather floor mats so you can get in and drive without ruining the upholstery.
Nissan unveiled its Nissan TITAN XD with a beach bod at the International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades this week in Orlando, Florida. Since it made its big debut at an event for fishing enthusiasts, the truck has features to make catching dinner on the beach a breeze, including rod holders integrated into its bumper, rod storage on the roof rack, and ample storage for fishing tackle.
The Nissan TITAN XD Surfcamp is finished with a fun IF Signs wrap that has a blue base and fun graphics. Since it was meant to be a homage to surf and beach culture popular in the 1960s and 1970s, the color scheme inspiration actually came from an old Hot Wheels 1971 Datsun Bluebird Wagon toy nicknamed “JNC Surf Patrol.”
Unfortunately this truck is just a concept car and is not available for sale. That won’t stop us from dreaming about taking it and the Nissan Smokin’ Titan meat smoker out for an epic summer vacation.
