“The Charger blends its unique style with performance into a one-of-a-kind offering that results in the highest resale values among fullsize cars. It last won the segment in 2015, and the fact that it now tops the segment again in 2019 speaks to its strong appeal among American consumers,” said Eric Ibara, director of residual values for Kelley Blue Book.
The 2019 Dodge Charger is available at six trim levels: SXT, SXT AWD, GT, R/T, SCAT Pack, and SRT Hellcat. Standard on the SXT, SXT AWD (a new addition to the 2019 Charger lineup), and GT trims is the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 expertly paired to the standard TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission. The R/T trim pairs the above transmission with a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 to generate 370 horsepower and 395 lb-ft of torque. The SCAT Pack trim tears up the road with a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 rated at 485 horsepower while the SRT Hellcat model dominates with a 707 horsepower-rated 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI SRT Hellcat V8.
