Ford’s contributions to Hurricane Dorian relief include pledging aid to ToolBank USA, which will help provide strike teams with tools necessary for carrying out recovery work. Ford Fund is also donating to HEART 9/11 to assist with recovery and rebuilding efforts.

Hurricane Dorian was a Category 5 hurricane that developed in the Atlantic on Aug. 24. The Bahamas were hit particularly hard by the storm, which resulted in the largest natural disaster in the country’s history. Winds reached speeds of 185 mph, resulting in approximately 50 deaths, over 1,300 people unaccounted for, 70,000 left homeless on Grand Bahama and the Abaco Islands, and catastrophic damage to Marsh Harbor.
