Subaru Finds Pets New Homes at L.A. Auto Show
Continuing their track record as one of the most philanthropically active automakers in the world, Subaru brought a little bit of love with it to the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show. During designated times at Subaru’s exhibit, representatives from five area animal shelters will be on-site to run adoption events meant to find at-risk pets loving homes.
In a press release about the events, Alan Bethke, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Subaru of America, Inc. said, “At Subaru, we look forward to opportunities that help our furry friends in need, and we want to return the unconditional love they show us each day. We saw great success with our pet adoption events last year, so we wanted to not only sustain, but build upon, that momentum to help even more pets unite with a loving lifetime companion.”
Events will be held daily during the Los Angeles Auto Show. The first session occurred last Friday, November 22, and the final chance to adopt a new fuzzy partner will be Sunday, December 1. The shelters involved in the initiative include Our Family Paws Rescue, German Shepherd Rescue Orange County, Los Angeles Animal Services, Westside German Shepherd Rescue, and Fur Baby Rescue.
As a major component of the Subaru Love Promise, Subaru Loves Pets has directly helped over 144,000 animals since 2015. They’ve managed to achieve this remarkable figure by partnering with organizations like the ASPCA and the Center for Pet Safety to help provide rescue rides to over 21,000 pets, facilitate the rescue and adoption of more than 50,000 shelter animals, and help fund large scale studies into how to keep pets as safe as possible on the road.
