Toyota showed off the first-ever RAV4 Prime and the all-new, second-generation 2021 Toyota Mirai at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show, alongside its highly-anticipated Camry AWD model.

All three of these cars represent a significant evolution forward for the Japanese automaker, which is delving deeper into electrification while offering more performance options than ever before.

The 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime has already been making headlines after its announcement this week thanks to its 302-horsepower powertrain and its 39-mile range. That’s more range than any other PHEV SUV you can currently buy on the market, and with that much power, it’s even the second-quickest vehicle you can buy from Toyota. In fact, with a 0-60 mph acceleration of just 5.8 seconds, it’s the quickest non-luxury SUV you can buy, period.

The 2021 Toyota Mirai represents the first of the second generation of the car that originally debuted in 2015 as the first production hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle. It is redesigned as a sporty coupe with a rear-wheel drive platform and an upgraded powertrain that can go 30 percent further on a single hydrogen charge.

For the first time since 1991, Toyota is bringing back all-wheel drive on the Camry — and for the first time since ever, it’ll be offered on the Avalon too. The automaker says it developed a special AWD system for these cars that will compromise fuel economy less than these systems typically do.

Toyota also brought a number of other vehicles to show off in LA, such the fully redesigned 2020 Highlander SUV and a lineup of TRD Pro vehicles including the Sequoia, Tacoma, Tundra, and 4Runner. Visitors of the show could also meet the Olympic athletes that are part of Team Toyota.
