Buick Marketplace Adds Yelp to Enable Easy Restaurant Reservations
The newest addition to Buick’s Marketplace platform lets drivers find the best places to eat — and even reserve a table en route to dinner.
Offering thousands of restaurant listings and millions of user reviews, Yelp Reservations makes it easy to find a place to eat. From behind the wheel, Buick drivers can find restaurants in a 25-mile radius, filter their searches based on different cuisines, find recommendations and reviews, and access information about menus and pricing.
Once a restaurant has been chosen, all it takes is a simple in-app call or touch-screen tap to secure a table for up to 10 guests.

“Whether drivers want to make a dinner reservation on the go or get recommendations for restaurants in a new city, the newly added Yelp Reservations brings a simple convenience to the car,” said Buick Marketing Director Sam Russell. “Making new features like this available for vehicles already on the road enhances our vehicles with unexpected new benefits for our customers.”
General Motors has touted its Marketplace app as the auto industry’s first in-vehicle commerce platform. In the U.S., it’s available on 2017 and newer Buicks with compatible infotainment technology and embedded OnStar 4G LTE.
Yelp Reservations is only the latest addition to Buick Marketplace’s ever-growing lineup of services. The app also lets drivers place orders for food and coffee, reserve hotel rooms, schedule vehicle service, find deals on vehicle accessories, locate gas stations and parking spaces, and pay for fuel at ExxonMobil stations.
