Buick Sales Flat in October as Encore Carries the Load
Buick sales were flat in October with 18,660 units sold, down just 39 units from October 2014. Overall, Buick’s sedans were all down double digits once more, sales of the Enclave were flat, and the Encore once again posted double-digit sales increases strong enough to offset an otherwise drab month.

As was the case in September, August, July, June, May, and so on, Encore sales were up double digits, increasing sales by 38.8% year-over-year with a total of 6,633 vehicles sold. October marks the 22nd consecutive month of year over year growth for the Encore, which has increased its 2014 sales total through 10 months by 35.7% at a total of 55,918 units.
Buick moved 25 fewer examples of the Enclave, staying ostensibly flat at 4,702 units sold. Sales of the Enclave are up 1.7% to date at 51,487 vehicles delivered.
As has been the case for much of 2015, Buick’s three sedans—the LaCrosse, Regal, and Verano—all tumbled considerably. Sales of the LaCrosse were down 26.9%, sales of the Regal were down 19.5%, and sales of the Regal were down 12.1%. To date, those respective vehicles are down 14.1%, 16.4%, and 25.9%.
All told, Buick’s sales through 10 months are down 1.6% at a total of 186,387 units sold.
