A Legacy to Pass on to Your Descendents
The commercial footage depicts Chevy owners and their children. The parents in the ad express how their parent handed a truck down to them when it was time to find their first vehicle. They then remark how they’re going to be gifting their own child with their old Silverado.
One of the young drivers expresses how inheriting his father’s truck is a way to build upon his family’s Chevy driving legacy. “I want to keep stacking up the memories, the miles, and years.”
The frame then focuses on smiling owners with their grown-up kids, laughing and talking nearby the Silverado that they’re gifting them. The TV space also spotlights a range of settings that indicate the importance of building memories around the family Silverado: a father and son inspecting underneath the hood, a dad coaching his teen daughter to drive, and a dad and son parked in front of a movie theater.
(Despite the focus on male parental figures, we do have to give Chevy a head-nod to the one female parent depicted in the commercial — a denim-clad middle-aged mom conversing with her lanky teen son in front of a white Silverado.)

Take Advantage of July Sales
The footage abruptly shifts into more information about Chevy Truck Month sales that run through July. Parents who need a new truck of their own can take advantage of the brand’s “18 percent of MSRP cash back” offer which applies to all 2018 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab LT pickups. That translates to $9,000 cash back, as the commercial states. This offer also includes a “no monthly payments for 90 days” provision.
If you’re in the market for a new Silverado this summer, visit your local dealership to browse their current inventory. The only caveat to these Truck Month deals is that you finance the buy with GM Financial — a reasonable stipulation for obtaining a quality pickup at a discounted rate.
