An efficient and energetic ride

Per the automaker, the street-spec C8 Corvette will achieve 15 miles per gallon in the city and 27 miles per gallon on the highway. It will also boast more engine potency than the C7 model had. The model’s cylinder deactivation technology gets a lot of the credit for the engine’s notable fuel conservation, as GM Authority confirms.

The C8 model’s 6.2-liter LT2 V8 engine yields 490 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. Chevy has also revealed that the C8 makes a rewarding long-range cruiser since it can go 490 miles before needing to refill the tank.

Considering that Chevy is marketing the C8 as a supercar for the everyman, its balance between fuel economy and powertrain energy is sure to win the hearts of both current and new Corvette fans.

While performance is one of the draws of the C8 Corvette Stingray, it isn’t the only reason to fall in love with the model. Compared with the previous model year, the cockpit places you 16.5 inches closer to the front of the car, so you can feel more at one with the road.

It also has a “frunk,” which is simply a trunk space in the front of the car, with space enough to store a laptop-sized bag or small carry-on suitcase. And it even has a nose-lift feature that uses GPS technology to raise the car’s nose when you arrive at a certain location.

A digital instrument cluster and 12-inch infotainment screen enhance the user experience each time you get in the cockpit. The model also incorporates a built-in Performance Data Recorder, so you can capture your best track runs and review them later on.
