Customize the VIN on Your 2020 Corvette
There are a ton of ways to customize your 2020 Chevrolet Corvette. You can choose between wheels, interior colors, seatbelt colors, carbon fiber trim, brake calipers, and even the engine’s appearance. But you can permanently leave your mark on this ‘Vette — for the cost of $5,000, you can specify the last five digits of the car’s Vehicle Identification Number.

All about VINs
A vehicle’s VIN is a 17-digit code that contains identifiers for the car’s model, production facility, engine, among other specifics. The code is often used to ID vehicles for recalls, DMV registration, insurance coverage, and for finding compatible parts. Your vehicle’s VIN number is typically displayed on a small placard on the windshield, so it’s not like it’s highly visible to the average passerby. And unlike a custom license plate, the VIN is part of the vehicle forever. So when you customize your Corvette’s number, you’re leaving a permanent mark on the vehicle.
Customization restrictions
The number has to be between 00001 and 99,999. However, all of the custom numbers are subject to GM approval, so some of your favorite naughty digits might be off limits. Hopefully the automaker has a sense of humor and lets some lucky dog drive away with a VIN that makes your inner middle-school kid giggle.
