Do you like pizza? Of course you do; everybody likes pizza, and that’s just an irrefutable fact (it’s also worth noting that nobody has ever stretched the truth on the internet ever in the history of the internet). Ford and Domino’s Pizza® are teaming up to help make ordering a pizza on-the-go that much easier, as the Domino’s mobile app will now be compatible with the Ford SYNC AppLink in-car connectivity system.
Customers who have already registered a Pizza Profile on the Domino’s app—available on iOS and Android smartphones—will be able to pair the app with Ford’s SYNC technology in order to place their pizza order with mere voice commands. Thanks to Ford and Domino’s working so beautifully together, one need only press the SYNC button on their Ford vehicles’ steering wheel and then issue their voice commands in order to have a warm pizza and a perplexed pizza guy waiting for them when they arrive home.
“This is, no question, one of the coolest in a long list of recent technology innovations for Domino’s,” said Patrick Doyle, Domino’s Pizza president and CEO, who is undoubtedly way cooler and better able to handle his spirits than rival pizzateer CEO John Schnatter. “To be able to work with a brand like Ford, with its terrific SYNC technology, and offer yet another way to bring our ordering app experience to life makes it all the better.
“We will continue to come up with every way possible to conveniently order from Domino’s, and use technology to offer the best customer experience possible,” Doyle said. “This is just the latest step, and we are very excited to roll this out later this year.”
By visiting http://www.dominos.com or using the mobile app, those with Pizza Profiles will be able to safely store their address, payment information, and ideal pizza combinations (spinach, feta, and pesto or bust!) for easy use. After that, Ford drivers are but a few words away from hot, fresh pizza.
“We’re thrilled to add Domino’s to the ever-expanding lineup of mobile apps Ford drivers can use hands-free,” said Julius Marchwicki, global product manager for Ford SYNC AppLink, in the automaker’s official press satement. “Americans love pizza, and now they can have one ready for pickup or delivery when they are on their way home or heading to a gathering with friends.”
Ford SYNC AppLink is available on more than 1.5 million vehicles including Fiesta, Mustang, Edge, Taurus, F-150, and C-Max hybrids.

Ford also announced Monday that SYNC AppLink will be updated to support mood-based music playlists from Gracenote and the Parkmobile remote parking payment app among others. It was also announced that the 2015 Mustang, designated the official car of the 2014 International Consumer Electronics Show, will debut the newest generation of SYNC AppLink technology.
