The folks at EveryCarListed.com have crunched the numbers and come up with some interesting graphs. The big takeaway? Americans love pickup trucks. Like, a lot. And among pickup trucks, they’re especially fond of the Ford F-150.
First, the breakdown of how many trucks there are on the road versus cars:

There are 8,747,172 trucks being driven around in America right now—that’s 1,059,028 more trucks than cars. And of those trucks, quite a few of them are Ford F-150s. Enough for the F-150 to be the most popular vehicle in 39 of the 50 states:

The Chevy Silverado seems to be more popular in the Northeast, and the Dodge Ram 1500 wins Montana, but overall, the F-150 dominates our country, from sea to shining sea.
Of course, EveryCarListed.com doesn’t specify whether this data is based on individual retail sales or if it includes fleet sales, so it could possibly be a bit misleading. But one thing is undeniable: people sure do love the Ford F-150.
