Ford Shows Off Puma ST in Interactive Films

Ford Motor Company of Europe has unleashed its latest bad cat, and it’s showing it off in a rather unique fashion. The all-new Ford Puma ST stars in a series of interactive films that capture some of its potential for thrills on film. With videos that move between real roads and virtual backdrops straight out of OutRun (or some synthwave artist’s album cover, at least), The Next Level shows off the Puma ST in style.

The series of films, called The Next Level, plays up the video gameiness of the Puma ST. Later videos transition between real places like London and digital landscapes replete with plenty of neon. Amping up the effect is the music of Stereocalypse, featuring synths and electronic drums galore.
Choose your own adventure in the Puma ST

The interactivity of it all comes from the ability to make the journey your own. At the end of each video, you’re presented with the choice of what to do next. After you start your mission with the aptly named first video in the series, you’re given the option to check out the exterior more thoroughly or hop in and get moving. The choices that come thereafter only get more thrilling.
Starring alongside the Puma ST in the video is stuntwoman and action driver extraordinaire Lucy Jayne Murray. Murray is an accomplished performer who has doubled for actors like Scarlett Johansson, Florence Pugh, Camila Cabello, and Alicia Vikander. In addition to The Next Level, her work includes films like Wonder Woman and the upcoming Black Widow.
“Ford has an incredible performance heritage, and the Puma ST was a joy to drive — taking it through corners in particular, this car handled itself like it was born for the part,” said Murray. “Filming the more dynamic driving sequences really enabled me to see what this car can do and throughout every maneuver, it handled perfectly.”
