GM Canada Sales Rise 13.2% in November
General Motors Canada announced that sales in November were up 13.2%, allowing the automaker to once again lead all industry sales. The Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac brands contributed a total of 21,812 vehicles delivered last month, helping improve GM Canada’s to-date sales to 6% better than last year through 11 months.

“For the second consecutive month, GM is back at the head of the pack with double-digit sales growth for the month,” said John Roth, vice president, sales, service and marketing for GM Canada. “Calendar year to day our Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac cars, trucks and crossovers sales are up more than six per cent. It is really great to participate in record automotive industry growth with our incredible line up of technologically advanced vehicles.”
Chevy sales climbed 17% in November thanks to significant increases in sales for the Equinox (up 21%), Volt (up 197% thanks to the release of the new 2016 model), Impala (up 139%), and 22% combined growth for pickups between the Colorado and Silverado.
Buick sales rose 15% thanks to an 82% year-over-year gain from the Encore and 15% increase for the Enclave. GMC sales were up 7%, marking the brand’s 17th consecutive month of sales growth in Canada, and Cadillac sales were up 9% thanks to a 22% gain from the SRX and 51% gain from the CTS.
