Brand Customer Loyalty Index Awards

General Motors Korea reported total sales of 43,085 vehicles in May, down 17% from the total of 51,907 units delivered in May 2016. Export sales were down 10% at 31,231 units, and domestic sales were down 31% at 11,854 units.

Still, GM notes domestic sales growth for its Cruze, Malibu, and Trax, as well as a total of 120 deliveries for customers awaiting the new Chevrolet Bolt.

“The attractive new marketing campaigns for the Spark, Cruze, and Malibu received an excellent response, which was reflected in positive sales results,” said Dale Sullivan, GM Korea vice president of Vehicle Sales, Service and Marketing. “Chevrolet will continue to introduce promotions to help budget-conscious consumers purchase our products.”

Chevrolet also closed out the month with the Spark, Malibu, and Trax receiving top honors at the 2017 Brand Customer Loyalty Index Awards at the Seoul Press Center. All three vehicles scored highest in their respective segments among respondents aged 15 and older with regards to brand trust, brand attachment, repurchase intention, intention to buy from the brand, and intention to recommend the brand to other shoppers.

“It is a big achievement that we won the first prizes in three segments of the credible brand loyalty survey as Chevrolet’ three major models ranked first in their segments,” said Il-sup Lee, GM Korea managing director of Marketing. “Chevrolet will increase customer satisfaction by delivering products with superior quality and providing services meeting customer value.”

Chevrolet also demonstrated the range of its Bolt EV in May at the Fourth Annual Jeju EV Eco Rally at Jeju Stadium.
