To provide its customers with extra confidence during the COVID-19 pandemic, Hyundai has instituted new safety protocols for its dealers across the United States.

Hyundai’s Clean Assurance program offers guidelines for proper cleaning procedures and appropriate social distancing while also providing the necessary safety training for dealership employees.

“Hyundai Assurance is built on the foundation of America’s Best Warranty and represents the guiding principle behind everything we do,” said Barry Ratzlaff, Hyundai Motor America’s chief customer officer. “We want our customers and owners to know that we are reinforcing our commitment to prioritize their health in this new retail and service environment. It’s been a collaborative effort with our dealer body to develop training materials, guidelines, and digital and remote services.”

As part of Clean Assurance, Hyundai has teamed up with Bioesque Solutions, a manufacturer of professional cleaning products, to make sure each dealership has the disinfectant supplies it needs. Dealerships are also receiving detailed instructions and standards to help them keep their facilities safely sanitized for customers and employees.

With Clean Assurance, Hyundai is taking steps to ensure that dealerships are following the social distancing policies required or recommended by state and local health authorities. The automaker is also putting together extensive training courses to help dealers prioritize customer safety in every area, from sales to service.

On top of these Clean Assurance efforts, Hyundai dealerships across the country are offering a spectrum of digital and remote customer services. Most dealers offer digital retailing, which allows buyers to complete the entire vehicle purchasing process online. Wherever possible, dealers are also making home deliveries of new vehicles and providing contactless pickup and drop-off for service or repairs.

As communities across the U.S. pursue an array of strategies and timelines for reopening amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Hyundai’s Clean Assurance guidelines offer a way for customers to shop and service their vehicles in a low-risk way — regardless of whether they choose to stay at home or venture back out.
