If there was an Olympics for the automotive industry, we’re pretty sure that Kia would be bringing home the gold in almost every event. The South Korean carmaker has been raking in the awards left and right this year with many of its models receiving multiple accolades. Now, Kia has even more trophies to add to its trophy shelf.

The 2016 Kia Optima and 2016 Kia Sedona were recently named the winners in AutoPacific’s 2016 Ideal Vehicle Awards. Each of these vehicles earned the award in their segments, which makes this the second time both vehicles have earned honors from AutoPacific in 2016. In June, both vehicles were named Vehicle Satisfaction Award winners, along with the 2016 Kia Soul.

“We are proud that our vehicles have exceeded the expectations of our customers and that AutoPacific has recognized the Optima and Sedona for the second time this summer with the Ideal Vehicle Awards,” said Orth Hedrick, vice president of product planning for Kia Motors America. “Kia is constantly evolving and finding ways to suit the needs and wants of our customers. We are thrilled to see the incredibly high level of satisfaction our customers are experiencing with our vehicles.”

AutoPacific determines the winners of the Ideal Vehicle Awards based on 65,000 survey responses from owners of new model year 2015 and 2016 vehicles. This survey, which is taken after the first 90 days of ownership, focuses on 15 key categories owners want to change in their vehicles. These categories include ride and handling, interior storage, safety features, power and acceleration, and technology.

The vehicles in each segment that had the lowest number of changes requested were named winners.

Along with the Ideal Vehicle Award, Kia has earned the top spot in the JD Power Initial Quality Study, making it the highest-quality brand in the industry beating out luxury brands like Porsche. Strategic Vision also named Kia Motors one of the highest quality brands in the industry.
