Following the announcement of Kia being named a Top Mass Market Brand for the fifth year in a row, it’s simply icing on the cake to add the multimedia award to the Soul’s already impressive list of recognition.

“The Soul has been an undeniable success since its launch in 2009, and with the redesign of this third-generation model, the technologically advanced Soul is equipped to be a strong contender in the marketplace,” said Michael Cole, chief operating officer and EVP of Kia Motors America. “Being named Best Multimedia Quality among Compact Vehicles by J.D. Power serves to further reinforce Kia’s commitment to world-class quality and a premium ownership experience.”

The J.D. Power Multimedia Quality and Satisfaction Study measures consumer happiness with a vehicle’s audio system, communication, navigation, and entertainment systems in the initial 90 days of ownership. The Kia Soul’s interior is packed with intuitive tech and an appealing design to match. Standard features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth combined with the 7-inch color touch-screen display make for staying connected on the go incredibly simple. Add in available features like UVO link with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a navigation system, and the premium harman kardon audio system with ambient speaker lights, and it’s no wonder the Soul was named a winner.

“Simply offering a variety of multimedia technologies isn’t enough,” said Brent Gruber, Senior Director of Automotive Quality Practice at J.D. Power. “In order to enhance the vehicle experience, owners want those technologies to be problem free and work as expected. In the compact segment no vehicle demonstrates that high level of multimedia quality better than the Kia Soul.”
