You Can Win a One-of-One Kona Blue Ford Mustang Bullitt in JDRF Raffle
As part of its longtime partnership with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Ford is offering one lucky individual the opportunity to own a one-of-one Kona Blue Ford Mustang Bullitt.
Ford revealed the idiosyncratically colored Mustang Bullitt at the 2018 Woodward Dream Cruise and began selling the raffle tickets that will result in a winner at a Nov. 13 drawing taking place at the Ford Conference and Event Center in Dearborn. Ford and JDRF are selling up to 60,000 raffle tickets at $10 a pop, and if you missed Woodward this year, you can get yours online at www.onecause.com/jdrfbullitt through Nov. 9.

Delivery of the Kona Blue Ford Mustang Bullitt is anticipated for the second quarter of 2019. While an ultra-rare Mustang Bullitt is a pretty sweet deal, it is worth pointing out that it’s far from free. The winner will be on the hook for paying income taxes on the vehicle to the tune of 25 percent of its value, insurance, pickup/delivery from Dearborn, shipping, and any other associated fees. So, while it’s cheap compared to buying one straight up, you’ll still wind up paying a bit more than the cost of raffle tickets.
Still, if you’re a collector or have always wanted a Mustang, it’s pretty well worth the price. The JDRF Mustang Bullitt will not only feature a Kona Blue exterior, but it will also get unique blue interior stitching and distinctive gray wheels. Every bit as big a draw is the raw power of its 5.0-liter V8, which churns out 480 horsepower and tops out at 163 mph.
What’s more, proceeds from the raffle benefit JDRF’s mission to find a cure for Type 1 diabetes, so even if you don’t win the grand prize you can feel good about your contribution to a worthwhile cause.
