LEGO Movie Stars and 2019 Silverado 1500 High Country Featured in New Chevy Ads
The 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 High Country is a stunning vehicle, and it’s even cooler when it’s made out of LEGOS. The LEGO-made 2019 Silverado 1500 High Country model along with stars of The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part are featured components of Chevy’s new Silverado advertising campaign released today that graces Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, movie theatre ads and television. The 30-second Instagram Story spotlighting the new campaign gives fans a chance to assemble their own LEGO Chevy Silverado with the tap-to-assemble feature. The film’s characters are part of the online build, too.
The Satin Steel Metallic Silverado 1500 High Country model serves as Emmet’s and Lucy’s (better known as Wyldstyle) getaway vehicle as an alien invader threatens their lives.
“From Emmet’s custom High Country to the real-life Trail Boss that inspired the full-size LEGO brick model, we have a Silverado for everyone — both LEGO mini-figures and everyday drivers,” said Paul Edwards, U.S. vice president of Chevrolet marketing. “The new ads are a fun addition to our Silverado campaign and will hopefully attract the next generation of truck buyers to Chevrolet.”
Earlier this month, LEGO and Chevy Silverado fans had a chance to see a full-size Silverado constructed completely out of LEGOS at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
The custom LEGO-made truck makes its big screen debut when The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part is released in theatres on Feb. 8.
