Liam Neeson Weaponizes a Snowplow in ‘Cold Pursuit’
The bad guys of the movie world will never learn to leave Liam Neeson’s kids alone. In his latest film Cold Pursuit, out on Feb. 8, Neeson once again sets out to avenge one of his children, but in this film, his particular set of skills includes driving a snowplow. While you might think that we’ve had enough of this premise, we’ll pretty much see anything that features Neeson kicking butt and taking names.

According to the movie summary in Entertainment Weekly’s review, Liam Neeson plays a model community member and snowplow driver at a ski resort in Colorado. His character is Nels Coxman, and he pretty much has a perfect life. I mean, he even won the “Citizen of the Year” award for his town. This all comes crumbling down when local drug dealers with weird names like Speedo and Viking murder his son. In typical Neeson style, Coxman then decides to exact revenge by using his plow to clean up the streets of his town quite literally.
By that, I clearly mean murder.
While this movie premise sounds familiar if you’ve seen any of the Taken films, Entertainment Weekly reports that the movie is actually pretty fun. Instead of taking itself seriously, it’s more of a dark comedy. Featuring Emmy Rossum of Shameless fame as a local cop who cheers on Coxman’s work, early reviewers are calling it the perfect movie to break up the winter doldrums.
