For the first time available with a TRD model, the new 2020 Toyota Camry takes the midsize sedan to a new level of performance and fun.

Built on the Toyota New Global Architecture, the Camry is wider and lower than previous generations — and, we’d argue, more attractive than any of its predecessors.

“The Toyota Camry dazzles like never before, with a winning combination of sharp design, engaging performance and powerful yet intuitive technology,” said Cyril Dimitris, vice president of Toyota Canada.

For 2020, every Camry is now equipped with Connected Services by Toyota, including a 7- or 8-inch touch screen and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone compatibility.

Under the hood, the Camry is offered with either a 2.5-liter four-cylinder generating 203 horsepower, or a 3.5-liter V6 generating 301 hp. Alternatively, the Camry Hybrid combines a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder with an advanced electric system to produce 208 hp and strong fuel economy.

As a result of the increased interest in the sporty Camry SE and XSE, for 2020 Toyota Canada is also launching the Camry TRD, which builds upon the Camry SE with exclusive TRD chassis enhancements and tuning (learn more about its feature here).

Like almost all new Toyota models — such as the recently announced 2020 Tacoma — the Camry comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense P, a suite of active safety and driver assistive technologies that includes automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, automatic headlights, and more.

The 2020 Toyota Camry is ultimately available at 14 different trim levels, offering something for customers seeking to meet simple commuting needs to those chasing driving thrill, and everything in between.
