Midwest Chevy Spark EV: Coming to a Farm Near You?
The News Wheel is based out of Dayton, Ohio, so we’ll be the first to tell you that we don’t see too many electric vehicles on the road. In fact, many residents here are opposed for one reason or another. So when we saw an article on Hybrid Cars speculating on a Midwest Chevy Spark EV, some eyebrows were raised here in the office.
Fun in the Sun: Chevy Offers Great Vehicles for Your Summer Road Trip
The information comes from four different Ohio dealerships, which have listed the Spark EV on their websites with pricing information and everything. Reportedly, one dealership employee even told a customer that she and the dealership have been “hearing towards the end of the summer” in regards to the arrival of the Spark EV to Ohio. Of course, General Motors is vehemently denying that the Spark EV might be leaving the West Coast for some electrifying fun in the Midwest and maybe even the East Coast. Randy Fox, manager, Electric Vehicle Technology Communications, told Hybrid Cars that there were no plans that he knew of to begin selling the Spark EV outside of California and Oregon. So is a Midwest Chevy Spark EV likely? No. But is it something we can all hope for? Maybe. We’ll have to wait and see.
