They said it couldn’t be done, but we’ve actually managed to stumble across something even weirder than the Astroturf-outfitted VW Golf we showed you earlier today: a Mobile Bathroom hot rod equipped with a 1965 C2 Corvette engine. Yup.

The unholy love child of Cookie Monster and one of those toilet bowl scrubbing bubbles, this Vette-powered, fuzzy blue crapper-mobile recently sold on eBay for approximately $4,400 USD. The vehicle is composed of two side-by-side bathtubs in the rear and a toilet up front, which is the kind of seating configuration that’s perfect for a family looking to see way too much of each other on their next road trip.

Never subject yourself to a gross gas station restroom again

Not surprisingly, GM Authority reports that this (literally) crappy car mod is a product of the 1970s (and, we imagine, copious amounts of cocaine). The vehicle was originally pushed out for the Canadian International Auto Show, then floated around to various car shows during the 80s, before finally being flushed into obscurity.

But you can’t keep a good can down: the vehicle resurfaced in Germany, where it was listed on eBay as the Fahrende Badewanne (Google Translate says that means “Propelled Bathtub”). The car needs a lot of work, so we imagine a mechanic bought it as his next fixer-upper… or a plumber, maybe.

Shag carpeting isn’t too aerodynamic, but it’s nice to have something to curl your toes in when you’re concentrating.
