Nissan Readies Fleet for Tokyo Auto Salon
January is a big month in the US for cars, with International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and North American Auto Show in Detroit. Across the Pacific, Japanese automakers are gearing up for the Tokyo Auto Salon, which shows off the latest and greatest in aftermarket parts and custom cars (think SEMA in Japan). Several manufacturers bring the latest custom or concept cars, and this year Nissan has prepared a fleet of at least 14 vehicles.

The Nissan cars will represent NISMO line and the standard production cars. Three of the vehicles, a Nissan March subcompact, Juke, and Versa Note, received a special design from fashion designer Lolita Lempicka especially for the show. There is speculation that the Lolita Lempicka designs, featuring a custom black and white exterior, could be offered as special edition vehicle in the future.
According to Asian news sources, the other big reveal set for the Toko Auto Salon is the Nissan Serena van upgraded by NISMO. That’s right, a Nissan minivan ready to take the track. The Nissan X-Trail, or Rogue in the US, will also be receiving a NISMO upgrade.
